P3 Gear launched October 2010 and is located in Beaverton, Oregon. We specialize in equipment used for emergency preparedness, emergency response, wilderness survival and personal defense. We sell ONLY premium gear we use ourselves, have field tested for performance and reliability or have established a high level of confidence in the manufactures products. We do not sell gimmicks or poor preforming gear and will not sell products motivated by cheap prices over quality and reliability. Our product showroom and training facility is open to the public where products are available to buy and where we offer high quality training and classes for both adults and kids ranging in skill from beginner to expert levels. Our mission is to help our customer to elevate the quality and accessibility of tools for building their knowledge base and out outfit themselves with high quality, reliable equipment.

HOW WE GOT STARTED...
In September of 2001 while on a business trip in Brazil, Jeff Isaly, founder and president of P3 Gear, watched a local Brazilian Television Channel as the attack on the World Trade Center Towers unfolded. He was deeply impacted by the attack on the United States and was compelled to get involved in a similar way as the fire, police and rescue workers, working to save lives as the World Trade Center Buildings burned. After returning to the United States he watched rescue dogs go into the destroyed towers as well as scale mountains of rubble where the towers had previously stood. Watching these patriots, both human and canine, risk their lives to save others moved Jeff to become a canine handler for search & rescue and disaster recovery and to serve his community. Since then he has been an integral part of many search teams, and has served on many incident command overhead teams for the Oregon State Sheriff's Association. Jeff believes good gear can make the difference between life and death. Whether educating others on safety, crisis management, being in a survival situation, managing through a disaster or providing gear to respond to these types of situations the gear used can make the difference in saving lives or alternatively costing lives. P3 Gear believes world class equipment allows us to work longer, more efficiently, more effectively and more reliably and bad gear can cost lives, shorten your time in the field and compromise a mission. P3 Gear believes the consumer always has a choice to make when buying equipment for emergency preparedness, emergency response, wilderness survival or personal defense. One choice is to only shop for the great deal on gear and be motivated by price over performance. The other choice is to buy as if your life depends on it. No individual likes to buy with this thought in mind but it's true. You're not buying a pair of jeans or a sweatshirt. You are buying gear that is used to preserve your life and the lives of others and allows you to take on any challenges you may be faced with.

For those who volunteer and serve in a capacity helping others to live their lives safely... you are also bad-ass.

The gear used in the wide range of professions focused serving and protecting need to work without fail. When a disaster or emergency occurs and most individuals fight or flight emotion takes over. The few individuals who and programed differently to run toward the disaster or emergency they need to know their equipment will perform under any conditions and will not fail.

We understand each and every piece of equipment serves a critical purpose and must work without fail at all times. For this reason we critically evaluate products multiple times and responsibly abuse them looking for weak points. We only choose to sell top notch products as if you were using them to storm into a 9/11/2001 situation.
